WHAT A SUMMER

Despite the not so sunny weather and lots of rain, we still had the best summer we could. Frankie, Jordan and I went on holiday to Great Yarmouth (I overpacked of course). We stayed in a gorgeous caravan designed for wheelchair users which we couldn’t fault! It had everything we needed, even a massive electric fire which we definitely appreciated on the cold evenings when we got back from the entertainment. The caravan park was filled with exciting things to do and it was lovely seeing all the kids running around having fun again with family and friends. Every night we adventured into the entertainment hub where we were engrossed by the bingo, the live dancers and performers and endless hours and money trying to win tickets in the arcades. One of the windy days we spent the afternoon splashing around in the heated outdoor pool. Frankie absolutely loved the water fountain in the middle of the pool! The fun soon stopped though when we had to run back to the caravan soaking wet in our swimming costumes in the freezing cold. Freezing and tired we had an afternoon nap before getting dressed into our disco clothes for the midnight party. We also went on long walks, visited the beach and endless lunch and dinner dates with lots of ice cream.
The rest of the summer holiday consisted of many different days out like bowling, the farm, swimming, shopping trips and Frankie going to respite clubs where she had great fun with her friends going to the zoo and theatre.
Frankie is now starting sixth form where she gets to wear her own clothes everyday so a lot more shopping trips will be needed.
Hope everyone had a great summer like we did!
